Capital City Aviation, Inc. (“CCA”) was formed in 2004 and is
based at the Ohio State University Airport (“OSU”) in Columbus,
Ohio. CCA is a non-profit flight training and aircraft rental
business whose primary goal is developing a safe and proficient
pilot and providing a
high quality aircraft rental fleet for central
Ohio aviation students and pilots.
Our fleet consists of a 1966 Piper Twin Comanche, a 1981 Piper Warrior
II, a 1977 Cessna Skyhawk II, a 1973 Piper Arrow II, And a state of
the art Flight Simulator. Our aircraft are equipped with Garmin
430 and/or 530’s color moving map communication/navigation radio
Global Positioning System (“GPS”) units and autopilots (except the
Warrior), and are maintained to the highest professional standards
found in the flight training/aircraft rental environment. Our club
now offers Traffic Awareness Systems in three of our aircraft, to
increase situational awareness and safety.
Our flight training goal is to provide high quality ground and
flight instruction by our
well trained and experienced Certificated
Flight Instructors (“CFI”).
Our aircraft rental goal is to provide high quality aircraft that
emulate the ownership pride and look in a rental environment.
The OSU airport is a high volume multiple runway airport with a
FAA contracted control tower, a mix of high performance jet and
general aviation aircraft, and airport services such as deicing and
aircraft fueling. The OSU airport is located just 10 miles from Port
Columbus International airport and provides an excellent training
environment that prepares our students and renters for complex and
busy airspace.
